What is Obsidian?
Obsidian is a powerful knowledge base on top of local folders of plain text Markdown files. Creators, developers, students, and others use Obsidian for a variety of purposes from note-taking to organizing and visualizing data. Obsidian simplifies and aids the gathering and storing of information. It offers a robust way of linking documents together and centralizing all your notes in one place.
How do I use Obsidian with PodIntelligence?
As an additional option to the PodIntelligence web version, we can provide Obsidian files based on your PodIntelligence insights when you purchase 6 episodes or more. In short, we provide the Obsidian files for you to use, and you do not need to learn to program to benefit from Obsidian.
Do I have to use Obsidian in order to navigate PodIntelligence insights?
Not at all! PodIntelligence insights already include ready-to-use Word cloud, keyword spreadsheets, audio and video clips in mp3 and mp4 formats you can access and share right away.
Obsidian is an add-on for people who prefer Obsidian, though our web version which is PodIntelligence 2.0 has been found the most helpful by many clients.
In short, PodIntelligence is not dependent on Obsidian. Rather Obsidian offers a unique interface to more easily navigate PodIntelligence insights.
How much does Obsidian cost?
Obsidian is free for personal use and costs $50/year for commercial use. Learn more about their pricing.
OK, I have the Obsidian folder ready from PodIntelligence, what do I do now?
Step 1. Download Obsidian
Obsidian is available for MacOS, Windows, Linux (AppImage), Linux (Snap), and Linux (Flatpak). More platforms.
Step 2. Go to File | Open Vault and navigate to the Obsidian folder for your PodIntelligence insights (provided by us).

Note: please always save the Obsidian folder on your local drive first, and make sure it’s accessible locally (not via Cloud).
Step 3. Wait for a few seconds and your Obsidian vault is now “Open” and accessible
