PodIntelligence Vs. Munch

PodIntelligence Vs. Munch: Video Repurposing Comparison

Video repurposing is no longer the game played by established creators and businesses. Anyone and everyone should be thinking about repurposing their video content and getting their hands dirty by trying out different tools. As creators and entrepreneurs, we understand that it’s not just money but time is the most important asset. We need to be able to make informed decisions when it comes to choosing the right video repurposing tool for our content.

We’ll compare PodIntelligence vs Munch capabilities in these key areas:

  1. Intended content
  2. AI content quality and readiness for repurposing (i.e. is it ready to be shared right away? Or need further editing?)
  3. Customization

PodIntelligence Vs. X: The Biggest Difference You Need To Know About

When comparing PodIntelligence vs. Munch, the biggest difference is that PodIntelligence targets established creators and businesses with large volumes of data – multi-day virtual events, ongoing webinars, seasons, and years of podcasts and livestreams. PodIntelligence thrives on large data sets and creates connections and relations between content pieces. Whereas Munch is designed more for single-video processing. While you can create many projects inside Munch, ultimately you are repurposing one video at a time without cross-referencing.

Intended Content

Munch is a great tool intended for social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube shorts. We find Munch to be ideal for talking head videos, and interviews.

PodIntelligence is more business content-oriented. Hence it can also work for webinars with presentations, virtual summits with panelists, and multiple speakers. PodIntelligence currently focuses on landscape videos so they are more ideal for platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook. For those who seek to repurpose these clips as vertical content, they will need to use a 3rd-party tool such as YouTube shorts, TikTok, or Instagram editors to crop and upload. They can also leverage tools such as CapCut (free), Filmora, iMovie, or similar apps to resize.

Self-Service and Ease of Use

You can easily feed in a YouTube link or an original video, walk away for 30-40 minutes, and the clips will be ready once you receive a notification in your email inbox.

With PodIntelligence and because it’s designed to process large volumes of data, videos are submitted via our processing form. DropBox or Google Drive is recommended. After 24 hours, you will then receive your personalized login, and a walkthrough recorded for you to get to your video content in clips, Q&A formats, and more.

AI-driven Content Quality

At the end of the day, both PodIntelligence and Munch are driven by AI. The question comes down to, what’s the AI-driven content quality. Specifically:

  • How many clips do you get?
  • Are they ready to post and share without further editing?
  • What are tools within the app that help the user decide what to post?

First of all, both Munch and PodIntelligence generate about 30 clips from roughly one hour’s worth of original video content. Munch decides the duration of the clips you get based on what you select as the destination platform (i.e. for YouTube shorts, all the clips will be under 60 seconds, or if you choose Facebook and LinkedIn, you may get clips longer than one minute). PodIntelligence also gives you the choice of filtering clips based on duration (i.e. Under 1 minute or over 1 minute).

Secondly, the quality of the clips you get may vary from video to video. Generally speaking, PodIntelligence provides higher-quality, and ready-to-post clips more often than Munch. This is because PodIntelligence focuses its algorithm on accents, and speech patterns by directly working with creators. If a clip is not of quality, they are rejected and thrown out by PodIntelligence. Clips aren’t cut off mid-sentence and have good coherence even for short clips. On top of the algorithm, PodIntelligence clips are reviewed and QA’ed by a human.

Thirdly, there are tools built into Munch that help creators decide what’s great, good, and average. These scores are based on metrics such as coherence and search volume. PodIntelligence does not provide such metrics and relies on the creators to pick and choose from the list of AI-generated topics and keywords. This was an explicit decision as most of the customers working with PodIntelligence are business users with niche products. Therefore Google analytics and SEO data may not reflect search volume and popularity as accurately.

Integration with Other Tools

Munch integrates with content platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram and can help users directly publish to social media. Their direct publishing features for LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts aren’t yet available but coming soon as of Q4, 2023.

In comparison, PodInteligence does not have integration with social media. Instead, users continue to use their social media management platforms of choice such as Sendible, Later, Buffer, and Hootsuite (as popular choices). Some may also choose to upload assets directly to appropriate social platforms as they may see higher engagement when it’s done natively and manually.

Video Editing Features

Munch has built-in video editing features when you choose the edit the clips further before downloading or publishing to social media. These features include the ability to add or remove the beginning or the end of the video, auto-crop or manual-crop the video based on the speaker and subject, as well as changing the ratio (landscape or vertical), update the title for the video, and apply captions and subtitles.

Munch’s Auto Title feature allows you to add title text and apply title styles.

Munch’s subtitle feature allows you to edit subtitles, styles, and templates and turn auto highlights on or off. Auto highlights refer to highlighting the word being spoken while the video is playing.

PodIntelligence works with a highly selective group of clients who are established creators, webinar hosts, content directors, and successful business owners. We intentionally keep our client base small so we can serve them well. Even for single-video processing customers who spend $50 with us, we still choose to provide a custom walkthrough so they can immediately understand the repurposed content in minutes, and share our training tutorials with internal teams. For premium processing customers who process a batch of 50 videos at a time, we conduct one-hour recorded Zoom meetings to answer their questions directly, carefully listen to their requests, and do our best to accommodate their needs to deliver the highest quality content possible.

Unlike any other video repurposing tools, names, and proper nouns are spelled correctly when you receive your outputs alongside quality clips you can often publish right away.

Munch, in comparison, also provides timely customer support. Their response time is often within 12 hours. However, Munch does not provide 1:1 training and customization per customer. Given their

Munch Vs. PodIntelligence: Which Is Better When You Need To Grow Your Business?

So which option is right for you? Specifically, which tool is right when your aim is to grow your business?

If you are new to content repurposing with a limited budget, and you simply want to experiment with a variety of tools. We recommend you test-drive both Munch and PodInteligence. Both tools offer a free trial.

If your intention is to publish vertical videos on YouTube shorts, TikTok, and Instagram with jumping, burn-in captions similar to creators such as Ali Abdaal and Alex Hormozi, then Munch is a better solution. However, please be warned that there’s no auto-video content that is going to look like Ali or Alex’s content – these pros easily spend thousands to manually produce shorts. It’s not fair to compare. But Munch is the way to help you get started.

However, if you have experimented with Munch or another affordable tool that doesn’t give you the quality, ready-to-post content you are looking for, AND you are looking to bulk process many hours of videos without having to manually upload, wait, and review, PodIntelligence is definitely worth the shot. Our clients love us and think we are well worth the investment.

PodIntelligence Vs. Munch: The Final Word

Ultimately the choice is yours, and it’s possible that there’s no single perfect tool.

If you are looking for a thinking and content partner to not only give you the tool but also the personalized support you need to thrive with content, please consider reaching out and we look forward to partnering with you on this content creation journey.
